Lincoln County man charged in sexual assault

A western Lincoln County man was charged in connection with the sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman early Friday, and sheriff’s investigators said others could face charges in the case.

Greg Alan Toth, 45, of Vale, was arrested and charged with felony first-degree sexual offense and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed on $25,500 bail.

Investigators said the assault happened early Friday in Toth’s home in the 6700 block of Beam Lumber Company Road. The woman was treated at Carolinas HealthCare System Lincoln in Lincolnton. Joe Marusak
