Police search for Cramerton girl, 14

Cramerton police charged an 18-year-old with kidnapping after they said he drove from Gaston County with a 14-year-old girl who was last seen leaving Stuart Cramer High about 3 p.m. Monday.

Haley Porter’s mother notified police after Haley failed to return home Monday night.

Police said they believe Haley is traveling to Arizona with her former boyfriend, Francisco Jaramillo Vazquez, 18.

The two are believed to be in a red, 2003 four-door Chevrolet Cavalier with N.C. license plate DAE-1845.

After consulting with the Gaston County district attorney, police said they obtained warrants charging Vazquez with kidnapping.

Cramerton Police Chief Greg Ratchford said that although Haley may have met and left with Vazquez consensually, she is underage and did not have her parent’s consent to leave.

Porter and Vazquez have been entered as wanted persons through the National Crime Information Center, Ratchford said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Haley and Vazquez are asked to call the Cramerton Police Department at 704-824-7964 or 704-866-3300, email administration@cramerton.org or call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 800-THE-LOST (800-843-5678).
