Suspect arrested in death of 23-year-old Charlotte woman
A 25-year-old man has been has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Alexia Mayfield, who died after being shot at a west Charlotte apartment on Friday night.
Immanuel Felton was taking into custody voluntarily after officers located him on Saturday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police reported.
Officers responded to an assist medic call in the 1300 block of Nobles Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. on Friday. When they arrived at the Little Rock Apartments, they found Mayfield, 23, suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced her dead on scene.
No motive has been given for the shooting.
