A church in Fort Mill was vandalized over the weekend with spray-painted marijuana symbols and sacrilegious symbols, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.
Michael Dixon, pastor at Christ Ridge Presbyterian Church on Gold Hill Road, found the vandalism Saturday and immediately called deputies. Some of the graffiti was anti-Semitic and included upside down crosses, Dixon said.
No arrests have been made but Dixon said that church members suspect it was young people who did it, as the words “Syria” and “leaf” were both misspelled.
Church members were able to clean off most of the damage, Dixon said.
