Police search for man who robbed bank, auto parts store

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Tuesday they believe the same man is responsible for two robberies of a Wells Fargo branch on West Sugar Creek Road and an auto parts store.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Tuesday they believe the same man is responsible for two robberies. The first robbery happened about 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Wells Fargo at 2610 W. Sugar Creek Road.

The robber is 25 to 30 years old and was wearing a black zip-up hoodie and sunglasses. The second robbery at the bank occurred on Monday. The robber was wearing a red hoodie, black shades, gloves and a mask over his face. At 8:30 p.m. that night, the same man is believed to have robbed the Advance Auto Parts store at 8315 Hankins Road. The robber was wearing a black jacket and black pants.
