One person shot on LaSalle Street in Charlotte
One person was shot Wednesday morning at the Quick’n E-Z Marathon gas station in the 1300 block of LaSalle Street and was taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police released no information about the shooting, which happened shortly after 6 a.m.
Video from a surveillance camera shows the victim running in front of the gas station and then suddenly falling to the ground after being shot.
The victim stands back up and stumbles as he walks toward the front of the station. He’s then shown running away from the store.
The shooting was the second at the station in two months.
On Aug. 24, police found Malik Aquiyl Teasdell, 24, suffering from a gunshot wound there. Medic responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police charged Elijah Sinclair Parker, 20, of Charlotte, in Teasdell’s killing.
