Former Cleveland County resident sentenced to 15 years in child porn case

A former Cleveland County resident was sentenced to 15 years in prison this week for producing child pornography.

Patrick John Stone, 29, of Gloucester, Va., pleaded guilty in February to one count of production of child pornography. He was sentenced in federal court in Asheville.

Prosecutors said Stone met an underage girl on a chat website while he was living in Cleveland County in 2012, told her he was 17 and had her engage in sexually explicit conduct that he recorded without her knowledge.

SBI agents seized Stone’s computers and found child pornography videos and numerous images of child erotica, according to court records.
