4 charged in Lincoln County methamphetamine case

Lincoln County sheriff’s investigators arrested four men on methamphetamine charges this week after watching a drug transaction near David’s Chapel Church Road and N.C. 27 West.

When officers approached the vehicles involved, one man ran but was soon arrested in a soybean field. The other suspects were arrested without incident.

Officers found more than an ounce of methamphetamine and several thousand dollars cash in the vehicles, the sheriff’s office said.

Charged were Vale residents Harley William Clinton, 27, Andy Allen Clinton, 24, and Allen Todd Cliché, 48, and Charles Thomas Alexander, 34, of Blacksburg, S.C., formerly of Casar.
