CMPD: Man wanted in armed robbery at gas station turns himself in

A 30-year-old man has turned himself in to authorities in connection with an armed robbery earlier this month at a gas station.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police had asked the public for help locating Tamario Anthony “Ant” King after warrants were issued for his arrest after an Oct. 1 robbery at a Shell gas station at 2624 Sam Wilson Road.

King has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. The charge is not the first he has faced.

He was placed on probation with a suspended sentence in 2014 for a felony breaking and entering charge and for felony larceny.
