Suspect named in 2 Davidson attempted robberies

Davidson police have identified a suspect in Monday’s attempted robberies of the Wells Fargo branch at 112 S. Main St. and the Exxon gas station at 601 Griffith St.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Gregory Stewart, 44.

Anyone who knows Stewart’s whereabouts is asked to email Davidson police Officer Jay Stokes at jstokes@townofdavidson.org or call the Davidson Police Department at 704-892-5131.

North Mecklenburg Crimestoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to Stewart’s arrest.
