Police find man shot to death in front of Concord home

Police found a man dead in the front yard of a home in Concord and are trying to figure out who is responsible for the killing.

Concord police identified the man as Juan Javier Gonzalez, 22. He lived on East Council Street in Salisbury.

Officers were called to 610 Palmer Ave. SW at about 10:50 a.m. Thursday by someone who said a man was lying unresponsive in the yard. When officers arrived, they found Gonzalez, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

No one had been arrested in connection with Gonzalez’s death late Thursday.

Police also haven’t released the name or description of a potential suspect. They say the investigation is ongoing and are seeking tips from the public.
