Loomis offers $25,000 reward in armored car robbery

Loomis is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two men wanted in a recent robbery of an armored truck employee.

The worker was robbed at about 1:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in the parking lot of a Bank of America branch in the 6400 block of Albemarle Road, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said. Police are not saying how much money was taken.

Police said one of the robbers was in his late 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds. He wore sunglasses, a black hoodie and jeans.

The second robber is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and of heavy build, police said. He wore a black trench-style jacket with black pants.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-336-1600.

The Loomis reward is in addition to a $1,000 Crime Stoppers reward.
