A man was shot in the leg during what police said was a drug deal gone bad in Charlotte’s University City area on Wednesday.
Medic took the victim to Carolinas Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The shooting happened at about 12:30 p.m. in the 11000 block of Holm Oak Place, off West Mallard Creek Church Road.
Police at the scene said the shooting happened after the driver of a pickup truck pulled up to a person on the street to conduct a drug transaction. An argument followed, and one of them was shot, police said.
