4 Charlotte men arrested in Wells Fargo robbery

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested four men in connection with a robbery and assault at a Wells Fargo branch on Park Road.

Police charged Anthony Woods, 32, Jarrett Edwards, 29, and Anthony Bost, 29, all of Charlotte, with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Ronald Hargette, 28, also of Charlotte, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Edwards was jailed on $125,000 bail, Hargette on $103,000 bail, Bost on $100,000 bail and Woods on $50,000 bail.

The Wells Fargo branch in the 4500 block of Park Road was robbed at gunpoint at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

A bank employee was assaulted during the encounter and was taken by Medic to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The robbers fled the bank, switched vehicles and led police on a chase that ended about 10 miles away in west Charlotte. One suspect jumped from a car, but police were able to catch him and the other suspects.
