Two people were arrested after reportedly stealing more than $700 in ammunition from a Fort Mill store.
Deputies responded to a shoplifting at Cabela’s in Fort Mill about 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to a York County Sheriff’s report. They were told a woman stole boxes of ammo and was leaving in a champagne-colored SUV.
An SUV matching that description was leaving the parking lot when officers conducted a stop, deputies say. The driver and passenger were asked to exit the vehicle.
On the passenger side floorboard, deputies found 30 boxes of ammo of varying calibers, which were in a black purse and were falling out onto the floor, the report states. The ammo, which was valued at $731, was returned to Cabela’s.
