Concord man charged in robberies of 2 food delivery drivers
Concord police have arrested a man in connection with two robberies of food delivery drivers.
Police charged Jamarlo Akeem Grier, 19, of Concord, with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Grier was jailed on $100,000 bail Friday and has a court appearance on Monday.
At about noon Friday, a China Garden delivery driver arrived at a house to deliver an order, but no one answered, police said. The driver called the number on the order, and the person who answered asked the driver to go to a home in the 400 block of Crystalwood Court. When the driver arrived, a gunman came up from behind and robbed the driver, police said.
Grier also was charged in connection with Tuesday’s robbery of a Jimmy John’s driver.
