Rock Hill man arrested for shoplifting ‘early Christmas presents’
A Rock Hill man’s plans to get some early Christmas presents ended in an arrest on Wednesday.
A 21-yar-old man was arrested on a shoplifting charge at the Walmart on Old York Road after he attempted to conceal items he told police were meant for holiday gifts, according to a Rock Hill police report.
Walmart security reportedly spotted the man carrying three DVDs into a restroom, then attempt to leave the store with the items hidden on his body. He was stopped and questioned by police, when he said he wanted the DVDs for “early Christmas presents.”
The man was charged with a first-offense charge of shoplifting.
