Report: Cross-dressing shoplifter drops phone fleeing Fort Mill store

A man dressed as a woman is accused of shoplifting $100 worth of meat from a Fort Mill grocery store and dropping his phone on the way out, which authorities have collected as evidence, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The manager of the Food Lion on Regent Parkway told deputies this week the man stuffed multiple packages of steaks in his shirt and walked toward the exit. On his way out, the suspect dropped his phone but continued out of the store, according to the sheriff’s office incident report.

Surveillance video footage shows the suspect taking about $100 worth of meat from the store, deputies say. The incident report does not give a description of the suspect.
