Report: Rock Hill school fight breaks out after assault with iPad
A student was hit in the head with an iPad during a fight at a Rock Hill middle school.
Two 12-year-olds were charged with public disorderly conduct- fighting on Thursday after the altercation at Saluda Trail Middle School, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
Witnesses said the two were in an argument in a classroom when one boy struck the other as he walked past his desk. An iPad was thrown, inadvertenly striking a child in the head causing a cut above his right eye, the report states.
A fight then broke out, spilling from the classroom into the hallway. Several students tried to break up the fight and other teachers came over to assist.
The children were charged and later released to their parents.
