Charlotte-Mecklenburg police search for robber of 5 stores
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for a man believed responsible for five recent store robberies.
The first robbery happened about noon Nov. 17 at Boost Mobile in the 3600 block of Central Avenue, police said.
The second robbery happened about 8:45 that night at Fuel Mart in the 5000 block of North Tryon Street. The next hold-up occurred about 30 minutes later at Subway in the 6100 block of South Boulevard.
About 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Beautiful Hair in the 1700 block of Central Avenue was robbed. At 9:15 a.m. Monday, I Beauty 210 was robbed in the 4800 block of North Tryon Street.
The robber is in his early to mid-30s, about 5-feet-10 and of medium build. He was last seen in a black-and-gray coat or hoodie, gray beanie, dark shirt and jeans. He had a black backpack.
