Report: Drunken Rock Hill man arrested after smashing pumpkin on Thanksgiving

A Rock Hill man was charged with public disorderly conduct after smashing a pumpkin he tried to give to his neighbor on Thanksgiving.

The man was “grossly intoxicated” when he took a pumpkin to his neighbor’s home on McDow Drive in Rock Hill, according to a police report released Monday.

He was told to “go away,” so he walked back across the street and smashed the pumpkin on the curb.

A witness said he was acting disorderly in the middle of the road, the report stated. The man was arrested and placed on trespass notice.
