Two sought in Lincoln County Dollar General robbery

Lincoln County sheriff’s investigators are searching for two males who robbed the Dollar General store in the 1200 block of N.C. 16 Business on Monday night.

The robbers entered the store with semi-automatic handguns, hit two employees and made them open a safe, the sheriff’s office said.

Both employees were treated at the scene by EMS for minor injuries.

One of the robbers wore a red hoodie, while the other wore a gray hoodie. Their faces were partially covered.
