Man sought in Shelby shooting

A man was hospitalized in stable condition after he was shot Monday at about 10:50 a.m. in the 600 block of Hause Street in Shelby, police said.

Lamarjuan NyShawn Whisnant, 28, had a gunshot wound to his arm and chest area, police said.

Police are searching for Robert Antonio Black, 26, of Shelby on warrants charging him with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Anyone who knows of Black’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-481-8477.
