Rowan County man carjacked after stopping to help woman
A Rowan County man became the victim of a carjacking scheme when he stopped in Salisbury to help a woman who appeared to be having car trouble.
The man approached a vehicle on Sherrills Ford Road around 6:15 a.m. Sunday. A man carrying a shotgun met him when he approached the vehicle, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
The man escaped on foot without his truck, which was later recovered.
Blanca Alejandre is in custody facing charges that include robbery with firearms, larceny of a motor vehicle and second-degree kidnapping.
