SWAT situation over in Huntersville

The Huntersville Police Department’s SWAT team arrested two men on drug charges Friday morning at a home in the 11900 block of Pacemaker Lane, off Hambright Road.

At about 6 a.m., police executed a search warrant on the home and arrested Thomas Edward Mann Jr., 55, and Brandon Joe Gunter, 24.

The arrests ended an undercover investigation into the sale of heroin outside the home, police said.

Mann was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and deliver (heroin), maintaining a dwelling to sell a controlled substance, possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspire to sell and deliver a controlled substance. Mann is free on $15,000 bail.

Gunter was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and deliver, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance (heroin), delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) and conspire to sell and deliver a controlled substance. Gunter is free on $12,500 bail.
