Police: No foul play suspected in fatal shooting in Charlotte’s University City area

Police said no foul play is suspected in the shooting death of a person at a hotel on Research Drive in the University City area.

The shooting was reported at about 10 a.m. Friday. The person was pronounced dead at the scene, Medic said on its Twitter account.

Police said they would release no further details Friday.
