1 killed in single-vehicle crash
One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in west Charlotte Monday night.
The collision happened just after 7:30 p.m., on Wilkinson Boulevard between the Billy Graham Parkway and Interstate 485, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
The driver, who had not been identified by late Monday, was taken to Carolinas Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
Police expect to release more details about the crash later.
Wilkinson Boulevard was closed as officers investigated the cause of the crash.
