Medical Examiner: Body found in Concord is missing Charlotte woman
The medical examiner has positively identified a body discovered in a wooded area of Concord Thursday afternoon as a 45-year-old Charlotte woman who went missing in December.
According to investigators, the body recovered from a wooded area behind 1101 Poole Place N.W. was identified as Cynthia Boza.
Boza left home in her gold Ford Taurus on Dec. 3 and had not been in contact with anyone since, family members told police. She was reported missing three days later.
According to officials, Boza suffered from health issues.
During their investigation, detectives from Charlotte-Mecklenburg police got information that put Boza at the home on Poole Place. A search of the residence and the property was being conducted by Concord Police Department and CMPD at the time Boza’s body was found.
Her body was found around 3 p.m. behind the home, according to Concord police. Investigators arrived quickly and remained on the scene until late Thursday night.
Her death has been ruled a homicide.
Investigators say the investigation is ongoing, with Concord Police working closely with CMPD.
