SWAT team assists with case on Barringer Drive in east Charlotte

A distraught person was taken into custody by a SWAT team after a seven-hour negotiation in east Charlotte.

Police were called to Barrington Drive around 8 p.m. Sunday on a report of a suicidal person.

An unidentified person was taken into custody around 4 a.m. Monday, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
