Loaded revolver seized after fight at Union County high school

Union County sheriff’s investigators seized a loaded revolver from the car of a student accused of being involved in a fight at Forest Hills High School in Marshville Wednesday.

After speaking with the students, deputies say they learned one of them had the gun in his car, which was parked on the school campus.

Kenneth Shelby Rose, 16, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon on school property, a felony. He was taken to the Union County Detention Center for processing and is free pending a court appearance.

Investigators said they charged another student with simple assault in relation to the fight.
