Fort Mill man accused of raping woman during Rock Hill break-in
A Fort Mill man is accused of breaking into a Rock Hill home and raping a woman.
Cedric Clark, 44, was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree criminal sexual conduct and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to a police report. He was placed in the Rock Hill city jail, where he remained Thursday under $100,000 bond.
Officers responded to a home in Rock Hill about 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to the police report. The victim, whom Clark knew, said Clark broke through the front door of the home and sexually assaulted her. He reportedly grabbed her phone and threw it across the room to keep her from calling anyone.
Before he left, he told the victim, “you’re dead to me,” the report states.
The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for a sex assault kit, police said.
