Autopsy: Death of Elon University student from Cornelius was a suicide

The death of an Elon University student from Cornelius who jumped from a balcony at a residence hall at UNC-Chapel Hill in November has been ruled a suicide by the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Demitri Allison, 21, had left a note saying he was going to jump, according to an investigative report by the medical examiner’s office.

Allison, a junior and management major at Elon, was an all-state receiver at SouthLake Christian Academy in Huntersville.
