65-year-old Mooresville man charged in child sex assaults

A 65-year-old Mooresville man is accused of sexually molesting an 8-year-old.

Iredell County sheriff’s investigators charged Donald Wesley Wilson with six counts of indecent liberties with a child. Wilson was jailed on $15,000 bail.

The assaults occurred over a year and eight months, investigators said.

Charges were filed after investigators interviewed the child at Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center in Statesville and interviewed numerous witnesses, Sheriff Darren Campbell said.
