Police search for robber of 2 south Charlotte banks

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected in two Charlotte bank robberies.

The latest happened about 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the PNC Bank in the 7800 block of Arboretum Drive.

The other robbery happened Jan. 28 at the Fifth Third Bank on Pineville-Matthews Road.

The robber is black, 35 to 40 years old, 5-feet-8-inches, of medium build and has has some some skin discoloration near his left. He wore gray sweatpants and a gray Nike sweatshirt.
