Indian Trail girl shot while visiting grandparents in Wake County

An 11-year-old girl from Indian Trail is in critical condition after being shot while visiting her grandparents Sunday in Knightdale in Wake County.

The investigation is not focused on a criminal act, but investigators were not able to confirm that the shooting was an accident, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.

It happened at a home in the 200 block of Colchester Drive.
