14-year-old shot in west Charlotte

A 14-year-old was shot in west Charlotte Saturday night.

The teen was shot shortly before 9:30 p.m. at Toddville Road and Esther Lane, off Freedom Drive.

The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner. The victim was shot in the leg, the station reported
