Police: Road rage led to Kannapolis shooting
Kannapolis police believe road rage led to a Sunday morning shooting that put one man in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The shooting happened about 9:20 a.m. on Orphanage Road in Kannapolis.
Police say Ryan Barrett, 29, was shot by Robert Andrews, 27, after they were involved in a car crash.
Barrett was taken to CMC Northeast in critical condition, but is now listed as being in stable condition, according to police.
No charges have been filed. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
