Investigators made two arrests and seized nearly a quarter pound of marijuana and methamphetamine after an operation that targeted probationers.
Todd Anderson, 44, of Crouse was charged with one felony count each of possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for distribution of a controlled substances, and felony possession of marijuana.
Anderson admitted to possessing marijuana and packaging it for sale after investigators searched his home near the 1900 block of George Brown Road, according to a report from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to marijuana, investigators found plastic baggies and scales, the report said.
Anderson was also charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was released on a $15,000 secured bond.
Detectives arrested Robert Jason Sronce, 36, and seized methamphetamine and a glass pipe after a search in the 1500 block of Atlantic Lane in Lincolnton, according to the report.
Sronce was charged with one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with a probation violation. He was jailed under a $15,000 secured bond.
The arrests were the result of a joint operation that also included N.C. Department of Public Safety, Probation and Parole, along with agents from the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
