Monroe man sentenced to 40 years for sexually assaulting teenager
A 40-year-old Union County man was sentenced to at least 40 years in prison this week after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage boy.
Jason Charles Konifka of Monroe was convicted of three counts each of statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child.
Prosecutors said the three assaults occurred between February 2014 and January 2015.
