1 person injured in shooting near uptown
One person was injured in a shooting near uptown Charlotte early Monday morning.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating three scenes, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
Officers taped off an area at the Tryon Square shopping center at 3724 N. Tryon St., near East Craighead Road. At least seven shell casings were found there.
CMPD says the injured man was shot in the leg. His wound is not considered life-threatening.
No names have been released. There’s no word on a possible motive.
