Police: Man accused of attempted murder missing, cut off electronic monitor

A man who is wanted for attempted murder and robbery cut off an electronic monitoring device on Saturday and is being pursued by police.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police identified the man as Christopher Crittenden, 28. He was last seen around University City Boulevard in northeast Charlotte.

Crittenden was ordered by the court to wear the monitoring device in August 2014 as a condition of his release prior to his trial.

Crittenden is charged with attempted first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

He is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and 215 pounds, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
