Man critically shot on West Sugar Creek Road
A man was critically shot outside a convenience store in northeast Charlotte Monday morning.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called to a 7-Eleven on West Sugar Creek Road around 4 a.m.
Police say the man was shot on the sidewalk outside the convenience store. Investigators suspect the incident was a drive-by shooting, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
The injured man was taken to Carolinas Medical Center and was listed in critical condition.
Police have not identified the victim or a possible motive in the shooting.
