Police seek robber of University City convenience store

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking the public for help in identifying the robber of a Kangaroo Express in University City on Friday.

About 1:40 a.m., a gunman robbed the convenience store in the 8000 block of Harris Station Boulevard and left in an unknown direction. Harris Station Boulevard is off East W.T. Harris Boulevard.

Police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of the robber.

The robber is about 5-feet-9 and 140 pounds. He wore a black hoodie and black and white pants.
