2 sought in Gastonia road rage incident

Gastonia police are asking for the public’s help in finding two persons of interest in a road rage incident in which a shot was fired.

The incident involved two vehicles stopped at a red light on North New Hope Road about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

After the light turned green, the driver of the car behind the front car blew the horn, and both vehicles later drove onto Interstate 85 southbound, police said.

That’s when a person in the front car fired a shot into the other car, police said. No one was struck or injured, and the victim pulled over to call 911.

Police said the suspect vehicle is a 2001 tan Buick with license tag DMA3920. Police said the tag is registered to Alan Michael Little, 22, of Lincolnton.

No one has been charged in the case, police said, adding that Little is a person of interest along with Dominique Davon Morrison, also 22.

Anyone who knows of Little’s or Morrison’s whereabouts is asked to call the Gastonia Police Department at 704-866-6702 or Detective C.D. Waldroup at 704-866-6939.
