Woman accused of robbing Union County bank

A 39-year-old woman is accused of robbing the Fifth Third Bank in Indian Trail last Friday.

Union County sheriff’s detectives arrested Laura Anne Bierzynski at the Relax Inn in Monroe on Thursday and charged her with common law robbery. Bierzynski was in the Union County Jail on a $10,000 bail Friday.

Sheriff Eddie Cathey thanked the community for tips and calls that he said helped lead to Bierzynski’s apprehension.
