‘Person of interest’ in shooting turns himself in
A man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old in Charlotte has turned himself in to police.
Investigators had identified Antonio Lorenzo Covington, 22, as a person of interest in the death of Ernest Louis Cash Jr.
Cash was dropped off at Carolinas Medical Center March 31 and died a day later, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Convington is also wanted in Georgia on an outstanding fugitive warrant for violating his probation.
Shari Lavelle Harris, 18, also is wanted as a person of interest in the case.
