CMPD continues search for man charged with attempted 1st-degree murder

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police renewed their plea Tuesday for help finding a man charged with attempted first-degree murder and cutting off his electronic monitor.

Christopher Crittenden, 28, was last known to be in the area of University City Boulevard, police said.

Crittenden also is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

Crittenden was ordered by a judge to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of his pretrial release on Aug. 29, 2014. Police say Crittenden cut off his electronic monitor March 19.

Anyone with information on Crittenden’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
