Gaston County Police investigating numerous vehicle break-ins

Gaston County Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for 22 recent vehicle break-ins in the unincorporated southern end of the county.

Unlocked vehicles in residential areas have been targeted at night, police said. Money, credit cards, computers, GPS units and firearms have been stolen.

A poor quality surveillance video shows at least two people involved in the break-ins, but no further identification can be made, police said.

The break-ins happened outside Gastonia and Belmont April 7-14, on King John Circle, South York Road, Yorkwood Drive, Witten Lane, Carrie Elizabeth Court, Country Lane, McCullough Drive, Armstrong Drive, South New Hope Road and Armstrong Ford Road.

Police urge anyone with information about the cases to call the Gaston County Police Department at 704-866-3320 or Crime Stoppers at 704-861-8000.
