Rowan County felon back in jail after traffic stop

A Rowan County felon is back in jail after a deputy stopped his car because of an expired registration plate and found drugs and a gun inside.

Christopher Michael Rhodes Jr., 23, of Salisbury, was charged with felony possession of marijuana, possess with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was jailed on $25,000 bail.

Rhodes was convicted last year of felony possession of marijuana. He has two probation violation charges pending in Rowan County Superior Court.
