A clerk was shot at a 7-Eleven convenience store in northwest Charlotte Tuesday morning.
The clerk has minor injuries, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
The incident was initially believed to have happened during an attempted robbery. But an investigation revealed that the clerk was shot by someone the clerk knows and the incident did not involve a robbery attempt, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told reporters at the scene.
The 7-Eleven is on Brookshire Boulevard near Hovis Road and a Charlotte water treatment plant.
